Ingredients

 

Egg Wash:

1 egg + 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk all dry ingredients together until combined.
  4. Add yogurt and mix with a wooden spatula until it starts to come together.  A food processor may may also be used with a few pulses until it comes together.
  5. Roll the dough into a log and divide into 4 equal size. Roll each dough into an 8” log and bring the 2 ends together and pinch both ends to seal. Smooth the ends.  Make sure the hole in the center it at least 2” in diameter so it doesn’t close up when the dough rises while baking.
  6. Combine egg and water into a small bowl and brush egg wash onto the top of the bagels. Sprinkle seasoning or topping of choice on top of the bagels.  Dry hands and pat down seasoning.
  7. Bake 20 – 25 minutes until golden brown. Remove tray from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  8. Best when served warm and on the same day.
